First Ladies Farm & Sanctuary is a small, working urban farm. We have volunteer opportunities most weeks that include cleaning coops, mucking goat and duck pens, washing and disinfecting litter boxes, cleaning the duck pond, and general farm and landscape maintenance.
We also have larger projects seasonally that include laying sod, painting, fence work, etc. This is hard, usually dirty, but fun and rewarding work! Plan to be outside in the sun, heat, and weather.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, we can sign off on Bright Futures and other Community Service Hours for students in public, private, and home schools as well as organizations like FFA and Scouts.Â
Farm chores not quite your speed? We also have the need for volunteer transport drivers to deliver barn cats for our Street Strife to Farm Life program. Many of our senior volunteers enjoy taking a countryside drive with cats!
