Hi,
I’m reaching out because I’m in a difficult situation with my dog and I’m trying to handle it responsibly.
My dog recently got over our fence and attacked another dog. The injuries appear minor, but it was serious enough that I’m no longer comfortable assuming our current home/setup is the right fit.
We have already done a 2-week board-and-train program in the past, so at this point I’m not looking for training services. I’m looking for guidance on whether you know any reputable breed-specific rescues, behavior-informed rehoming options, or experienced handlers/fosters who may be able to evaluate or take on a dog with this type of history.
I want to be fully transparent so the dog is not placed in an unsafe situation. I can provide more details about age, breed, temperament, triggers, medical history, past training, and the incident.
Thank you,
Cassidy Wright
