Volunteers are a huge part of the success and fun of First Ladies Farm & Sanctuary! We have volunteer opportunities Monday through Saturday that include feeding and watering animals, cleaning kennels and coops, mucking goat and duck pens, washing and disinfecting litter boxes, kennel laundry, and general farm and landscape maintenance.
Our volunteers range in age from 14 (the minimum age to volunteer) to 80! Farm work not quite your speed? We also have the need for volunteer transport drivers to deliver barn cats or run local errands and vet pick ups.
We also have larger projects seasonally that include improving the coops, cleaning the pond, laying sod, painting, fence work, etc. This is hard, usually dirty, but fun and rewarding work! Plan to be outside in the sun, heat, and weather.
Of course there is also always time to love on kittens, walk dogs, give baths, interact with the special needs animals and more.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, we can sign off on Bright Futures and other Community Service Hours for students in public, private, and home schools as well as organizations like FFA and Scouts.Â
